We see ourselves as a family in many aspects: due to our different brands and locations, we have many “family members”, as Ofa Bamberg GmbH brings together Ofa as a brand for specialist medical supply retailers and BELSANA and Spring Medical, our pharmacy brands. Other family members are Ofa Austria, our branch in Salzburg, and our subsidiary Nea International in Maastricht (NL). Production takes place at our sites in Bamberg (DE) and Glauchau (DE).

But that's not all: there are actual families in our ranks in which several generations, from grandparent to grandchild, work “at Ofa”. Above all, however, the solidarity in our company is like that of a family. We can always rely on each other and anyone who wants to can quickly make friends. These are all reasons for us to compare our employer to a family.

Our jobs are in an economically stable, crisis-proof sector: the medical device industry. As people are getting older and older and spend more time of their lives sitting or standing instead of moving, chronic diseases of the venous system are on the rise. This means that our products are not only needed now but will also be needed in the future. Consequently, we have grown continuously over the last few decades. As a family, we always stick together - this also gets us through difficult times, such as the recent COVID-19 pandemic.

We are proud to call Bamberg our home since 1948. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city has a lot to offer: From cultural facilities to popular and top-class sports teams and a wide range of leisure activities to educational institutions of all kinds, Bamberg promises a high quality of life. 
Our location in the Laubanger business park at the harbor is another advantage - with a variety of shopping facilities nearby, it is easy to combine work tasks and private to-do’s. There are also plenty of parking spaces for cars and bicycles. If you prefer electric mobility, you can charge your e-car or bike at our e-charging stations during working hours at a favorable rate.

As a new “family member”, you will receive an individual and precise introductory training. This way you will get to know your tasks step by step. On one of the first working days, there will be a tour of the company for new colleagues so that they can learn more about our company, its products and departments. Our Managing Director Rainer Kliewe will also give you a warm welcome during your training and present information regarding the company to you in person.

Once we have got to know each other, it will become clear what your strengths are and how you can develop them further. Do you have the potential and the drive to get ahead?
