As part of its annual fundraising campaign, Ofa Bamberg supported various organizations with a monetary donation. One donation went to Wings for Nepal e.V. - an association in which one of Ofa's employees is involved.
With its annual fundraising campaign, Ofa Bamberg wants to fulfill its social and societal responsibility at Christmas and think of those affected by poverty or illness. Traditionally, each of the company's locations and divisions selects a charitable organization for its donation. Employees can submit suggestions. An international project is also selected: The association Wings of Nepal e.V., in which our employee Verena Thomann from Ofa Product Management Orthopaedics is involved on the board.
The association helps young people in Nepal to develop career prospects and supports them on their way to a self-determined future. Accommodation, food, training and further education are supported. Originally started as a private initiative after the severe earthquake in Nepal in 2015, a non-profit association was founded at the beginning of 2017, which currently supports 16 young people. We are delighted about this extraordinary social commitment by our employee and are happy to support the work of the association with our donation.

- Bamberg: Bamberger Tafel (food bank) and the Kinder- und Jugendhospiz Sternenzelt (children's and youth hospice).
- Austria: Austrian Cancer Aid, Purpose: help for breast cancer patients.
- Glauchau: Erziehungsförderverein e.V., which looks after a total of 53 children and young people in day and residential groups.
- BELSANA: Apotheker helfen e.V. (German Pharmacists' Aid), which has set itself the task of improving healthcare for people in need worldwide.
- NEA International: Liliane Foundation, which advocates for equal rights and opportunities for children with disabilities.
